Implant Restorations

Don’t feel embarrassed about missing teeth, we can restore your smile with dental implants.

Implants will feel gaps with replacement teeth and are a great long term solution.

Dental implants are replacement tooth roots. Implants provide a strong foundation for fixed (permanent) or removable replacement teeth that are made to match your natural teeth.

Success rates of dental implants vary, depending on where in the jaw the implants are placed but, in general, dental implants have a success rate of up to 98%. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime.
Implant Treatment involves several stages:

  • Assessment and Treatment Planning – At initial consultation your medical and dental history will be discussed and your mouth examined carefully. Usually a dental 3D CT scan is taken to give an accurate measurement of bone volume. This allow to assess the feasibility of providing implant treatment and helps determine a definitive treatment plan.
  • Implant Placement – Is a relatively simple minor surgical procedure and is performed under local anaesthesia. The implant is gently screwed in and the gum is stitched so that it heals over the implant.
  • Integration Period – After surgery, your dentist usually places a temporary crown, bridge or just a small plastic denture on top of your implant, while the implant integrates with the jaw bone. It can take from a few weeks to a few months.
  • Restorative Phase – The “final” tooth or teeth are secured. There are variety of new teeth options ranging from a single crown, small or large bridge or an overdenture. A dental technician who works closely with the dental surgeon constructs these definitive restorations.

Most people who have received dental implants say that there is very little discomfort involved in the procedure. Local anesthesia can be used during the procedure, and most patients report that implants involve less pain than a tooth extraction.
